Acidity and gastric problems are becoming more common in our modern world. People complain of acid reflux and heartburn when they have poor lifestyle choices.

Overeating, smoking cigarettes, long gaps between meals and eating immediately are some of the most common causes of gassiness or indigestion.

Although gassiness or indigestion are not considered a disease, they can be uncomfortable and painful. Stomach pain, bloating, and stomach cramps can all be common. This problem can be severe at times.

Method

Boil 2 cups of water

Add 2 teaspoons ajwain

Boil water until it is reduced to half

As a home remedy for gassiness or indigestion, you can simply consume ajwain mixed with a small amount of black salt.

Flatulence can be treated naturally with ajwain. Ajwain can be soaked in lime water. Add black salt to the mixture. To ease flatulence and gassiness, you can take this mixture twice daily.

Cumin seeds (jeera )

* Strain the brew into a cup.

Drink it warm to reduce gastric pain.

Lemon water

Lemon has many benefits, including helping to ease your gas pain. Lemon’s acidity stimulates HCL (hydrochloric acids) production, which is responsible for the breakdown of food. Higher levels of HCL mean food is more efficient in breaking down, which means less gas and bloating. Your system is flushed and your digestive tract moves smoothly. The lemon aids the liver’s enzymes to work more efficiently. This makes this a great way to detoxify your whole body.

Ayurvedic medicine says that the sour taste of lemon helps to stimulate your “agni”. This allows you to digest food faster and prevents the buildup toxins.

Method

*Ice cubes

* Sprinkles of mint (fresh leaf)

* 1 teaspoon raw honey or maple syrup

* Fresh lemon juice

* 1 pinch pink salt

Half a lemon can be dissolved in warm or cold water.

Mix together mint leaves, honey, and pink salt. Stir well. Then, pour the mixture into a glass and enjoy fresh lemon water.

Peppermint tea

*Boil 4 cups water in a saucepan

Ginger and Honey, Lemon Tea

Ginger is one of the most popular spices that can be used during summer to relieve bloating and prevent other digestive problems. The addition of honey and lemon will give the mixture a kick of flavor. Honey is a healthy sweetener that boosts immunity, and lemon with vitamin C can help keep your skin and other body functions healthy. You can make ginger, honey, and lemon tea with or without tea leaves (caffeine free). If you don’t want to feel bloated, it is better to cut out caffeine.

Ingredients

* 4 cups of water

* 1/4 cup grated ginger root

* 1 teaspoon of tea leaves

* 2 lemons, juiced

* 3 tablespoons honey

Method

Combine water and grated ginger root in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium-low. Let simmer for 20 minutes.

* Add tea leaves to boiling water and let it boil for 3 to 5 mins.

Mix honey and lemon juice into the tea. Strain and serve in a cup.
